The National Action Organization - Committed to changing the way our culture values women!
The National Action Organization (NAO) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation committed to changing the way our culture values women. We are a national network of men and women who believe all women possess innate gifts and talents. We partner with women who want to develop a stronger foundation to sustain their lives through this rich, ambitious creativity.

We offer ways for these entrepreneurial-spirited women to flourish. By supporting them to develop and deepen a wealth of inner and outer resources, self-esteem develops. They see themselves as more capable, while they are busy making real their ability to thrive rather than merely survive. We believe when women thrive, they enrich everyone around them and contribute to the betterment of humanity.

At NAO we envision a world where women embrace self-care as a common practice. We foresee a society that celebrates economic and social homeostasis for women, supporting their personal, spiritual and professional aspirations. We promote a public consciousness of women's inherent gifts, and empower women to reach beyond what they believe they are capable of, to craft the best life possible.

Today's women juggle multiple roles as spouses, wage earners, heads of household and caregivers for children and/or aging parents. In these efforts many women are depleting themselves emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Women believe that they must disregard their own well-being in order to care for those around them.

We believe that conscious partnering with women is a way to end this epidemic depletion. All of us are being called to live our lives in social, political, environmental and spiritual balance. The National Action Organization recognizes the role we all played in creating the present imbalance and together we are doing something about it! How about you?

There is a saying that there are three kinds of people in the world: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who say, "What happened?"

The people who make things happen see themselves as co-creators with the divine, with consciousness, the one power behind everything.

We are not catering to the underprivileged; we are a for-purpose nonprofit that is helping our culture establish balance, recognizing women’s value as an untapped resource.

Our goal is to help women break through and release their self-limitations regarding their own value and worth, so they are clearer channels and can access abundance.

As a response to violence against women, we are sponsoring FREE emotional and physical self-defense classes based on Maryanne's Emotional Black Belt™ techniques, supported by physical practice with Karate black belt experts. See the Initiatives page here.

NAO programs

In our effort to “Change the way our culture values women” we created a pilot program aimed at offering women emergency funds. In the event a woman cannot meet her immediate survival needs, on a per-case basis we offer immediate funds to help alleviate some of the panic and pressure so she can get out from under whatever situation she suddenly finds herself in. Examples of women we have reached out to:
*A woman who has breast cancer and could not pay all of her rent
*A woman whose partner suddenly left and she needed rent money until she got back on her feet (she paid us back and will pay it forward)
*A handicapped woman who needed physical therapy but was unable to have her insurance cover an alternative method that would help her walk with greater ease.
*Another cancer patient who needed time to rest undisturbed for two weeks after chemo but did not have the funds to expedite this herself. We found her a place on Maui and paid for her trip. She is now in remission!

You can be a part of this heartful endeavor, too. Please donate today;  we will send you a 501(c)3 document for your records and thank you for your support!
